Reimbursements physiotherapy

Will my treatment be reimbursed?

Fysiotherapie Middenweg has contracts with most health insurance companies. Deals have been made with your health insurance company about the reimbursements. To be eligible for reimbursement you must have a supplementary health insurance contract. In that case your bills will be sent to your health insurance company directly. It is my experience that many people are not aware of how well or poorly they are insured. I would gladly assist you in finding out.

Do I have a chronical indication?

There is a lot of confusion about this topic. If you have a chronical problem, this doesn’t necessarily mean you have a chronical indication. To be eligible for chronical reimbursement your problem has to be listed on the ‘chronical list Borst’. On this list all injuries that are eligible for long-term physiotherapy are listed. The duration of these reimbursements can be from 6 to 12 months. Examples of chronical indications are schoulder complaints as a result of a ‘Frozen shoulder’, surgeries on joints or some neurological diseases. A referral from you general practicioner or medical specialist is required.

Reimbursement for children up to 18 years

Children up to 18 years old will be reimbursed for 9 treatments from their basic health insurance. Extension of the reimbursement depends on the health insurance company you have a contract with. If there is a chronical indication all treatments will be reimbursed.

I have a basic health insurance contract

If you have a basic health insurance contract and have no supplementary health insurance, all treatments will be invoiced to you directly.
